Violet is so loving, gentle, and sweet once you get to know her. She can be a little shy at first, when it comes to new people and places, but becomes a warm and loving girl after she feels comfortable. We know she was not treated well in a former life, so this is probably why loud noises or busy places make her feel timid. And this definitely comes out more around men than women or children. We would like for Violet's forever family to continue helping her build confidence by earning her trust first, and then expanding her world at her pace. She's definitely food motivated, though, and bringing along some cut up hot dogs or cheese to do something new always makes her feel better. Violet adores her human foster siblings. She loves giving them sweet kisses and is always swatting a petite paw at them to get attention. But because she is so shy, we'd prefer a family that doesn't have a ton people over often, so as not to overwhelm her. Little Violet is also happy to have a dog companion, though she isn't much of a playmate with them. She's just happy for the company and to have someone she can watch as she learns how to enjoy life and be a dog, herself.
