Tuxedo has the jowliest jowls that ever did jowl, and we just LOVE them. And even better, he is amazing with any kind of grooming, squishing, bathing, and handling. He's the chillest during bathtime and even doesn't mind having his tailpocket cleaned up OR his nails cut!! (major win for bulldog maintenance) He came to his foster home in a rough state, and has been the best boy for all the extra grooming and care to get him bright and shiny again. Tuxedo fell in right away with the friendly pack of dogs in his foster home. You can usually find him napping on the couch with them, having wrestling matches on the people bed, or politely chewing his own bone in his bed. He's just an all around very good boy.
Tuxedo's forever family will need to keep up with his bulldog needs, including having him on a diet that doesn't irritate his allergies (no chicken), and regular foot soaks, medicated fold wipes, and medicated baths. He may benefit from being on apoquel or cytopoint longterm, depending on what his family and vet decide is the best combination of care. Tuxedo also has the sort of palate and breathing that needs close monitoring. He should continue to eat out of a slow feeder bowl in his forever home, and his family will need to be careful with him on hot Texas days. In fact, we'd love for Tux to have a home with access to a yard so that he doesn't have to go on walks in order to do his business and avoid any potential issues. Tux has lived with young kids in a past life, but is not currently.
