We don't know a ton about Smidge's past, but we think she had a pretty rough go before coming to ABR. Her poor frame is misshapen, likely due to spending a lot of time in a small kennel. And she has scars on her back that also seem to be from that same time in her life. It's evident she has had multiple litters, based on her c-section scars, and her poor skin needs a lot of help to make sure her soft fur grows back in. And of course a creature as unique as Smidge looks, has the personality to match. She will wail and honk like a goose when she wants something. She has the most wonky, endearing rickety walk, which is only more adorable when she's in a playful mood. And don't let her scowly face fool you -- she loves people and all dogs, thrilled for any attention she can get. So basically, this dog is perfection.
Smidge is heartworm positive, and Austin Bulldog Rescue will be sponsoring her treatment. At this time, she is available to adopt before her treatment begins in the Austin, San Antonio, and Houston areas. Adopters must be able to take her to one of our ABR vets for treatment.
