Sir-Loin isn't one of our down-on-their-luck strays whose history is a mystery.
We know where he came from and that his family once taught him how to dog.
Sir Loin is a few steps ahead of our typical rescue, thanks to his past. He knows his basic commands and has excellent manners. He can sit, stay, and walk on a leash and is potty trained!
He LOVES other doggos and, minus a pretty typical overexuberant initial bulldog greeting, he eventually takes cues and can happily cohabitate. From what they've seen of his character, Foster mama thinks that he (with proper slow intros, of course) could probably live successfully with cats!
Sir Loin gives us some other clues about his upbringing in his nervousness when meeting new people. He is also very sensitive to negative feedback, so no raised voices, no big NOs, and, of course, no balanced or aversive training methods are ever to be used on this guy ever.*
Sir will need a family willing to be patient with him when he moves in and let him take things at a pace he's comfortable with. He'll need an adults ONLY family with no kids at home with him.
*Positive reinforcement with treats, structure, and gentle patient handling is the only way to raise a healthy, happy, confident, well-behaved adult dog.
