And despite the garbage hand she was dealt, Serenity is still so incredibly gentle and sweet.
She has had to be poked and prodded constantly, and she is in a heck of a lot of pain, but she is never grouchy or snappy with us. 
Her resilience through what is without a doubt an incredibly painful and confusing experience shows her uniquely lovely nature.
This little girl has a long way to go, but give her some time, and she will make some lucky family just the best house hippo.
