Rosa 🚗

Rosa is a stunning Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog with a deep, velvety, brindle coat that glistens in the sunlight. She has the most hilariously expressive face, and her exaggerated eyebrows and big brown eyes will always tell you exactly what she’s thinking. Rosa is going to be fearful of change at first, and we are working really hard with her on her confidence in new situations while she is in her foster home. But, once you give her a little space to breathe and earn her trust, she’s a whole different dog — bouncy and full of life! Rosa also loves chasing bubbles. We can’t say she’s ever caught one, but the effort she puts in is still 110%. Rosa will need a patient family who will not push her to be a dog that she’s not ready to be. She will take a week or so to settle into your home, approach for pets, and relax. And since this girl can be a tad nervous in places with a lot going on, we’d recommend older kids, if any, and a calm home without a lot of unfamiliar visitors to make her feel safe. We promise, this special girl is one of a kind, and worth the effort.

Rosa is available for adoption to qualified adopters in the contiguous 48 states.  ABR would prefer approved applicants to come to TX to meet their match, with their family and dog(s), but we recognized this isn’t always possible.  In such cases, approved adopters should be willing to participate in video interviews with the entire family to meet their match virtually. Adopters must also provide a transportation plan for their new family member that will require approval from the ABR Board.   This needs to be paid for by the adopter, in addition to the dog’s adoption fee.  Adopters need to also be prepared arrange safe transport back to the Austin area, should adoption not work out.  Please be prepared to provide vet and personal references in your application for us to contact when considering your family.
