River arrived with Rainier at ABR and their personalities couldn't be more different! Of the two, she is more quiet, reserved, and shy and seems to appreciate having another confident dog around to check out new things first. She got along really well with the smaller, senior dog in her home, right off the bat, since she is so calm. River has totally decided if toys are her thing yet, but seems to have really taken a liking to anything that squeaks! More than anything, though, she just wants to be around her favorite people. We would love for her to go to a home where she is allowed on the furniture and her snuggles and snores are appreciated. She's okay with sharing human attention with another dog, but just expect a dramatic sigh and side eye from the other side of the couch! River has also been calm and easygoing about baths and grooming, which is perfect, considering her forever family will need to keep up with all the skin, ear, eye and fold maintenance typical of an english bulldog.
