Prim

Hi! My Name Is Prim

We're happy to tell you that Prim has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Prim came to rescue after her savior nursed her back to health and helped her learn how to live in a home with a family.  We feel so lucky to have her since she is great with other dogs and loves spending time with her young human foster sister.  She could spend all day being playful and silly with her favorite humans or snuggling up on the couch.  Prim also has excellent house manners and is fully potty trained.  Prim can be scared of new situations and people (which looks like her barking her cute face off), so her foster family is working on showing her that going for walks and having friends come over can be fun experiences.  We hope her forever family will continue working on this with her, so she can fully enjoy everything they do together.

Prim's ears went without proper care for a long, long time, resulting in her ear canals completley closing up.  We need to get her a proper vet consultation to determine if this requires surgery or what longterm care would look like without, before matchign her.  Prim is also heartworm positive and will need to undergo treatment for that, once we figure out what's going on with her ears.  However, she can be adopted to qualifying families in the Austin, San Antonio, or Houston areas while completing her heartworm treatment, with the understanding that she will need to kept calm during this time.
