Pinky

Pinky is the most adorable lowrider with velvety soft fur.  Her happy place is in your lap or snuggled up to you on the couch, preferably as the little spoon, for an evening Netflix binge.  She has no fear when it comes to going new places and meeting new people, and would be an amazing companion to take out and about to dog friendly spots.  Pinky is also learning to play with toys and be silly, thanks to the 6mo puppy roomate she is living with!  And she hasn't met bigger dogs yet, but wags her tail like crazy and bounces around playfully whenever they pass by her yard.  Pinky lived for awhile on the streets of Houston as a stray, but has settled into homelife wonderfully and is already potty trained and crate trained.  She adores being around her humans, and will experience some sadness at first, when left alone in her new home, but will eventually feel better once she realizes you haven't left her forever.  Because of her past life, Pinky would do best in a home with another friendly dog who doesn't mind sharing it's humans and space with her.  And although Pinky isn't currently living with kids, we think she'd do well with kids 6+, given how gentle she is and the fact that she seems to have outgrown puppy habits like jumping on new people.  

Pinky still needs to see a specialist for a potential torn ligament in one of her back legs.  She can be adopted to qualified applicants in the Austin area ahead of her surgery (sponsored by ABR) and recover in her new home.
