Little Phoenix has been through SO much since coming to ABR (you can read her full rescue story here) and now she's ready to find her forever family.  She arrived in the throes of battling parvovirus, and was left so long without proper care that her tiny body really struggled to bounce back.  She actually developed a very rare side effect of parvo, which manifests like rhematoid arthritis in her front legs.  Phoenix has been seeing a veterinary specialist regularly with ABR, who has been carefully monitoring and modifying her care to give her the best possible opportunity at a normal life.

But make no mistake...Phoenix is a little fireball!  She eagerly awaits her morning wrestling sessions in the yard with her frenchie foster brothers and is always down for a game of bitey face.  This little lady is truly a social butterfly.  She's even won the cats in the house over and has become their afternoon napping buddy.  If you ask Phoenix, she's just a normal bouncy puppy growing into her big ears and even bigger frenchie attitude while learning to be a very good girl. And speaking of which, we hope she never grows out of her sweet pouty lip and tiny teeth that peek out every so often.

Phoenix's forever family will need to be able to financially support anything a frenchie typically needs long term, plus ensure they can provide recommended medication and timely vet care if her arthritic symptoms advance.  Remember -- this is the sort of arthritis that is not just seen in older dogs.  Phoenix has already received a diagnosis and will need management for the rest of her life.
