Oliver would be a great dog, in a home with parents, or teenage children. He is a very loyal, large lazy lapdog, but can be protective of his domain, if he see’s other animals outside, or close to our yard. He welcomes all guests, and is not aggressive, just large and needs boundaries when at play, due to his size. He responds well to the “beep” of his electric collar. He is crate trained and housebroken. He does not dig or demolish anything! I live alone w my 14 yo Granddaughter. Our household is pretty active, but very chill. My husband works in another state, and only comes home, two days a month. I have two Grandsons here in Texas, and have been asked to help w them while their Mom works, and Oliver is no longer tolerant of my 3 yo Grandson. When I keep them overnight, I have to keep the dog locked in a room. He cannot be trusted, and has lurched and snarled at him, if he touches things, near me. I cannot have a dog of his size, testing me or my authority. Our family life circumstances have changed drastically this year, and he requires more than I am comfortable with, on my own.
