Nala

Nala lived the first few years of her life in an outdoor kennel as a breeding machine. When she became injured, her breeder, not wanting to pay for her medical care, gave her to ABR. Seeing the condition her body is in, starving, anemic, with open wounds-- we thought we'd be getting a broken girl. But Nala has completely surprised us all with her loving, forgiving, and gentle nature. She is WONDERFUL with kids and gravitates toward them, tail furiously wagging. She is welcoming to other dogs and eager to play. And she is open to receiving love and affection from any and all adults. Nala is still working on getting used to life indoors-- learning about potty training and the fact that she gets to come back inside after being out. She also has quite a bit of medical to take care of before she can be matched.
