Morris

Hi! My Name Is Morris

I'm Available

Morris will smother you with kisses and then will love on you some more!  Expect the bff treatment right away with this guy.  Personal space is not his thing.   And this actually extends to his dog friends too.  He wants to get up and personal right away and have all the sniffs, so we’d love for his forever fur sibling to be one who enjoys having a little brother who wants to know more about all the cool stuff they do during the day.  Morris also LOVES CAR RIDES and is such a good, calm boy during road trips.  And he’s a champ at the vet because that’s just a place where he can meet more people and make new friends.  Morris isn’t currently living with kids, but we think older are best.  He can get a little humpy when overstimulated, but is seriously doing great with being redirected to channel those big feelings into chewing a bone or concentrating on sitting nicely for a treat.  So we think older kids who can help the adults in the home remind him that calm behavior = good, good tasty thing are perfect. Morris is also doing awesome with leash training and we think he could be happy in a home with or without its own yard.

Morris is currently on medication to curb seizures, and we’re exploring evening him off with his vet because he’s been doing so well.  He was actually saved from a euthanasia list after a serious bout of pneumonia plus the very stressful shelter environment brought on seizures.  However, we would also be comfortable with an adopter taking him home and eventually consulting with their own vet to make a good longterm decision for Morris.
