Moochi

We met Moochi after her family surrendered her to a shelter when she was just 6mo old.  And while most dogs would shut down in this situation, Moochi was just happy she had new friends to love on her and smoosh her.  Even though she loved all the new human friends she met, the amount of barking dogs around her was very overwhelming, so we were happy to give her a calm place to be.  Moo is not your typical puppy.  We know some of her history, and from what we can tell, she was purchased with a few other bulldogs her age from a puppy mill out of the country, and her siblings did not survive.  Her poor body is a product of overbreeeding to try to create a specifically shaped bulldog, and as a result, she struggles with walking sometimes.  Her hips are deformed and she has trouble bending her back legs.  We think even as she grows, Moo might still have issues with mobility, so she will need a special kind of adopter who is willing to help her out.  We also believe that Moo could stand to lose a few pounds to help reduce the strain on her tiny frame.

But Moochi is a typical loving, silly puppy in so many wonderful ways!  She is so fascinated and curious by the world around her and LOVES kids.  She is working on potty training, which will take some patience, given that she moves around a little differently.  Moo is also having THE BEST time playing with her doggy foster brother, and this is helping her gain so much strength to improve her mobility.  We would love for her to find a home with another playful dog who can continue to show her the ropes and how much fun it is to be a puppy!

Moochi is available for adoption in the Austin area.  Moochi's adoption fee includes a $200 deposit that is refundable upon ABR receiving proof of spay.  ABR will sponsor cost of Moochi's spay surgery, as long as this is done with one of our approved vets.
