Monty is all things love, light and joy! He is technically hospice, due to being in an advanced state of heart failure, but is on medication that is helping to keep him comfortable. And right now, Monty is feeling really good in his ABR foster home! Monty is SUCH a silly, playful goofball. He is awesome with other dogs, and really great about reading who wants to play with him and who doesn't. He's also very social and loves meeting new people --every new person gets some Monty hugs and kisses! Monty also thinks cats want to play with him, too. Even if they hiss at him, he just curiously wags his tail, entertained by this funny, new fur buddy.
Monty's vet gave him about a year or so, if he can maintain his current medication, routine, and head to the vet, when necessary, to drain some of the fluid that may accumulate on his abdomen. And although he is happy and comfortable in his foster home, we would love for a family to give this guy the bucketlist life of his dreams before he's ready to say goodbye.
