Sweet Maynard was at death's door when we rescued him, but thanks to our rescue angels, he has made a miraculous recovery.
He started HERE
But never fear, now he's learning what life is like as a 'normal' loved dog.
We are so grateful to see him overcome many physical and emotional hurdles.
Maynard only knew neglect and starvation, so his body and mind needed time to adjust and trust that life isn’t scary. The predictability of kindness and structure have done wonders.

So, here's the thing with Maynard: the world outside of his home has proven to be very scary, very bad, and altogether awful.
But his foster home is safe, secure, fun, and full of cuddles.
So, Mr. Maynard is one of those dogs who does NOT need his humans to take him places. He will not feel like he's missing out. He will not mind spending extra hours snoozing solo, waiting for his humans to come home and love him.
Maynard does not want to be the life of the party. He does not want to entertain your friends.
Maynard is EXACTLY that house hippo prototypical bulldog who just wants to stay in and chill.
Maynard can live successfully with a dog friend and has especially enjoys the smaller dogs in his foster home.
His favorite things are going on walks, eating, mealtime 🤗, and cuddles on the couch with his humans.
Kids can be loud and scary, so he must go to an adults-only home, please.
