Marlene is such a snuggly, calm, and affectionate angel. She loves to be as close as possible to her favorite humans, even if it means just a smushy paw touching you as she naps. Marlene also enjoys meeting new people, but cam be shy in busy places or with men. We know she has had negative experiences with both in the past, but she gets confidence from her people praising her and telling her things will be ok. She's been doing amazing with a little patience and love! Marlene is currently living with a calm and friendly dog, and while she doesn't want to play with him, she still happily wags her little nub when he's around. She'd much prefer to snuggle up to people than other dogs, but is content to coexist with them. Marlene is potty trained and is wonderfully calm on a leash, as well! Because of some past trauma, she can become anxious when left alone for long periods of time. This doesn't mean you can never leave the house, but we would love for her family to not only create a safe, calm space for her when they are away, but also reinforce her 'me' time as a positive experience with treats and naps.
