Mari

Hi! My Name Is Mari

We're happy to tell you that Mari has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

*Mari will always need special care - please read her whole profile before applying!*

Mari has had to grow up much faster than most puppies after dealing with a very serious illness during her time with ABR.  She's been in and out of the vet dealing with longterm Granulomatous Colitis and Giardia, which will likely require a specific diet and supplements for the rest of her life to keep her happy and healthy.  Mari even had a very serious surgery as a result of these issues, which are likely due to living in unsanitary conditions during the first weeks and months of her life.  We are happy to share more specifics on her diet and recommendations on her longterm care during the adoption interview process.

But Mari has a tenacious Frenchie spirit we love so much.  It seems like nothing can get her down! Her vets are always thrilled to see her funny little face and tiny teeth and get lots of Mari kisses.  Mari is currently living with a number of different dog personalities and gets along nicely with everyone.  She especially enjoys hanging out with the biggest dogs (because she is a big dog, can't you see??) and squeezing her way into bed with them for naps.  And Mari just loves to play -- she's never met a toy she doesn't like!  Mari seems to love every person she meets, but we'd prefer she go to an adults-only forever home.  We know kids can sometimes leave messes or drop food that Mari could unintentionally eat (and she will try!  She gave foster mom some serious side eye for not sharing her curry!), and this could be harmful to her.
