Louise is a quiet girl whose love language is pets and scratches when she's ready for them. Caring for her and watching her blossom as she begins to trust you and come out of her shell makes her one of the most rewarding dogs to rescue.
She did live with a quiet frenchie-potato who gave her plenty of space when she first arrived. It took a LOT of time for her to get used to that doggo, and lately, she seems terrified of any other dogs she has met, so, honestly, we think that Louise would probably be happiest with just a kitty friend.
The best part about getting to know Louise is the funny wiggles that start to come out when she sees a favorite, trusted face (or peanut butter jar coming out). She's got the most hilarious wonky nub tail that goes a million miles an hour when she's excited and does the most hilarious zoomies.
Louise would be best in a low-traffic, adults-only home with a yard. While sweet and lovely, once she feels safe, lots of activity and kids stress her out. We would love for her to end up with a family who wants to experience the rewards of getting to know her and expand her world at her pace. Louise is working on feeling more comfortable wearing a harness and leash, so while she is still easing into that, we think a home with its yard is best. Louise also lives with two very curious kitties and mostly ignores them.
