*Lenny πŸš—

Hi! My Name Is *Lenny πŸš—

We're happy to tell you that *Lenny πŸš— has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Lenny has not been treated well by humans, up until this point, but you would never guess after meeting him.Β  He is honestly one of the most gentle and loving dogs we've met.Β  He flinches if you reach for him, at first, but if you're patient, he will lean on you and let you hug him, once he knows you are a friend.Β  And if you give him one hug, he's never going to want to stop!Β  Lenny is a dream to walk on a leash and is doing really well living in an apartment setting.Β  He is eager to meet other dogs and people, but does not approach them in an overly excited or scary way.Β  He just wants to make friends!Β  Lenny has blossomed into a very playful boy who wants to wrestle with other dog friends.Β  We'd love for him to go to a home with another dog who wants to be a playmate, especially since he is still learning how to read when a dog lets him know they are done.Β  Β  Lenny isn't currently living with kids in his foster home, but he's so incredibly gentle and loving, we think he'd do great with some small friends.Β Β

Gertie is available for adoption to qualified adopters in the contiguous 48 states.Β  ABR would prefer approved applicants to come to TX to meet their match, with their family and dog(s), but we recognized this isn’t always possible.Β  In such cases, approved adopters should be willing to participate in video interviews with the entire family to meet their match virtually. Adopters must also provide a transportation plan for their new family member that will require approval from the ABR Board.Β  Β This needs to be paid for by the adopter, in addition to the dog’s adoption fee.Β  Adopters need to also be prepared arrange safe transport back to the Austin area, should adoption not work out.Β  Please be prepared to provide vet yand personal references in your application for us to contact when considering your family.
