Lala 🚗

Lala is one of the most joyful dogs we've ever known.  She is always happy and eager to meet new human friends, and yes PLEASE come give her all the pets and some hugs too!  Lala had been an 'outside dog' most of her life before coming to ABR.  Since arriving at her foster home, she's been learning about naps in her big cozy bed and is loving having delicious things to chew on.  She's now crate and housetrained, and even prefers to take her tasty chewy bones to her crate for some quiet time.  Lala is truly one of the most easy going and low maintenance girls.  She'd be thrilled to have a lazy day hanging out around the house and would be the perfect work from home buddy.  She's currently living with another dog who is her size, and she prefers their calm, chill time together.  Lala would do great in a home with kids, but we think it's best if they are big enough that her wiggly butt can't knock them over.  Lala is still working on leash manners, since going on walks is brand new for her.  We hope that her forever family will continue to work on this skill with her, so that walks around the block can be a fun, relaxing activity.

Lala is available for adoption to qualified adopters in the contiguous 48 states.  ABR would prefer approved applicants to come to TX to meet their match, with their family and dog(s), but we recognized this isn’t always possible.  In such cases, approved adopters should be willing to participate in video interviews with the entire family to meet their match virtually. Adopters must also provide a transportation plan for their new family member that will require approval from the ABR Board.   This needs to be paid for by the adopter, in addition to the dog’s adoption fee.  Adopters need to also be prepared arrange safe transport back to the Austin area, should adoption not work out.  Please be prepared to provide vet and personal references in your application for us to contact when considering your family.
