He is not fully potty trained, has peed inside twice, but when we take him out often he doesn't have accidents. He has peed on our patio, seems not to prefer grass, but when walked on a leash on grass will use the bathroom there. He likes to play and roam the house, has not shown destructive behaviors. He was snippy at first when I tried to redirect his movement or restrain him, especially when my hands were near face, but never bit me, only snips. He would also cower after he snipped or cower when my hands moved towards his face, possible abuse, something like being smacked in the face or head for discipline perhaps. After a few days of giving him love and patience, he has not been snippy or cowered as much. He loves to be with our other dogs, though he does try to mount. He tried to mount our older dog who was a foster, that dog snipped at him and he took it well. He backed down and did not become aggressive or snip back (probably needs more time socializing with other dogs, maybe was used for breeding and thats it). He is overzealous and energetic with our dogs so will need some training to be well behaved with other dogs, but again is not aggressive, just curious and excited. Vet said he could be 1-2 years of age. He is a sweet and loving dog that when allowed to roam free is generally well behaved, just need more extensive potty training, but with frequent outside bathroom breaks, has not had accidents. Takes kennel well at night after a few minutes or crying or noises, but still prefers to be free. Loves soft toys and loves to discover the house. His breathing can be bad, the Vet said his nostrils are good, 6 out of 9, but has the thick or extra tongue that causes issues with breathing. He does breathe heavy after 10 mins of activity, but once he calms down, he improves. However, he is very noisy most of the time. He was negative for heartworm, parvo, and parasites, and we have updated him on all vaccines. He seems to do well with all new people. He will cry or bark when put in kennel sometimes as he prefers to be free, but again will calm down if he doesn't hear our other dogs or noises. We keep him free most of the time, but sometimes he has to be put away.
