Gumbeaux should be the poster dog for adopting a dog who doesn't want to live with other dogs. From the minute he strut into his foster home, he has been affectionate, loving, and well-behaved. He's one of those dogs who all of your friends will say 'that is the COOLEST dog...' because he's so darn perfect. Gumbeaux is just as derpy and ridiculous as he is handsome. You will laugh nonstop at his antics and the faces he pulls while playing. Gumbeaux is a little bit older than 1yo, and has not had previous experience with positive reinforcement training or structure. We would love for him to go to a home with a patient family who is going to continue to work with him on learning polite greetings and ways to manage his energy when he feels like bouncing off the walls. We also think he'd do best in a home with a yard where he can get some zoomies out on days where it's safe for bulldogs to be outdoors. Gumbeaux has previous experience living with other dogs and kids, and based on that feedback, we would not recommend he go to a home with either at this time. He's just not comfortable around either. But put him in an environment where he feels safe, and this boy absolutely blossoms into the most loving, carefree and easygoing dog.
