Greta ๐Ÿš—

Hi! My Name Is Greta ๐Ÿš—

We're happy to tell you that Greta ๐Ÿš— has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Greta earned the name โ€œthe princessโ€ at her foster home, and rightfully so. ย Greta loves a cushy life of couch snuggles, bubble baths, and being spoiled by her favorite humans. ย And she is even more stunning in person than pictures do her justice! ย Greta lost her vision before she came to ABR due to neglect and untreated glaucoma. ย She takes a minute to warm up to new spaces and people, but once she does, she will trust you forever to keep her safe! ย Greta is also very smart and has picks up quickly on vocal cues to help navigate her world. ย And you can definitely take her out and about with you! ย Now that she knows her foster dads will always keep her safe, she LOVES going to the brewery, being the center of attention with all their friends, and relaxing in the park. ย Since Greta can be shy at first, weโ€™d prefer a home for her with older, more mellow kids, if any. ย

Greta is available for adoption to qualified adopters in the contiguous 48 states.ย  ABR would prefer approved applicants to come to TX to meet their match, with their family and dog(s), but we recognized this isnโ€™t always possible.ย  In such cases, approved adopters should be willing to participate in video interviews with the entire family to meet their match virtually. Adopters must also provide a transportation plan for their new family member that will require approval from the ABR Board.ย  ย This needs to be paid for by the adopter, in addition to the dogโ€™s adoption fee.ย  Adopters need to also be prepared arrange safe transport back to the Austin area, should adoption not work out.ย  Please be prepared to provide vet and personal references in your application for us to contact when considering your family.
