Freckles has blossomed in her foster home after her anxiety and nervousness in a busy shelter environment nearly cost her her life. She's our MOST snuggly dog in foster and would love to be draped across your lap, sleep with her chin nuzzled into your shoulder, or curled up in a little ball next to you on the couch. She's been getting regular walks around the neighborhood too, and is really beginning to enjoy exploring the world around her. We would love to find her a similar forever family who is also willing to introduce her to new experiences at her pace, praise her and love on her when she's not feeling sure of herself, and head home for snuggles if the world is feeling a little too big that day.
Freckles seems to have lived a very chaotic and uncertain life before coming to ABR. She craves comfort and stability, happiest in her foster's lap or snuggled in bed. And now that she's gotten a taste of what it feels like to know kind and caring humans, she isn't sure she wants to share them with fur friends. As of now, we are recommending she go to a home without other dogs or cats, especially while she's stlill feeling so insecure. We hope to find her a loving family who cares just as much about her as we do and just wants to wrap their arms around her to make her feel safe adn loved.
