Oh boy, where do we even begin in the list of all of our favorite things about Felix. First and foremost, we cannot believe this perfect, delightful gentleman found himself at an overcrowded shelter after being (allegedly) hit by a car while out stray. We assume he was attempting to cross a busy street because he saw a human who might have some pets and snuggles for him. Felix luckily came out of that incident with just some scrapes that are healing nicely. And not only are all of his legs still working just fine, he is an amazing leash walker. The calmest, best behaved guy! We think he'd actually do just fine living in an apartment setting, based on these impecable leash manners. Felix is also very friendly with human and other dog friends. He's currently pal-ing around with two lady frenchies in his foster pack. And in fact, there is another dog in the home who does not prefer his company, and good boy Felix never reacts to his blustering or sass.
Felix does not have the typical low and wide bulldog stance we often see in rescue. While he is on the smaller size (about 40-45lbs), he's leggy enough to go on walks with you and could probably live in a home with stairs. He also does not have as short of a snout as his English Bulldog cousins, so he'll fair much better in warm weather. And it's probably not a suprise to you that this guy also is perfectly polite for car rides, so he'd be a terrific road trip buddy. Felix is not currently living with kids, but we think older are great, since he does that bulldog-y thing of jumping up on his humans when he's feeling really playful (which could knock a little one over). But he's been a quick study, so far, when it comes to learning to keep all four paws on the ground. Felix's foster family does have chickens on their property, and he is a little too interested in them. So, we would not recommend a home with pet birds or other small critters for Felix.
