Ember is one of those magical dogs who will forever be a puppy. Given that she was surrendered to a Texas Humane Society by her former owner, we do know that she is actually 8yo, but we still can't believe it! She's got the most adorable, big eyes that are guaranteed to get her whatever she wants. And if that doesn't work on you, she'll lift her little front flippers in the air and wiggle them at you to 'sit pretty' and politely wait for whatever snack you have. Ember is super social and loves every human she meets. Whenever foster mom has company over, she is eager to make a new friend and doesn't mind sharing attention with her bulldog foster brothers. We think Ember would be best in a home with older kids, for now, as she learns not to put her paws up or nibble on her new friends to play. This could be because she's SO EXCITED after spending months alone in the shelter, so we think she will catch on quickly to polite play. Ember also loves toys, especially her peanut butter filled kong, so we hope her forever family has plenty of fun stuff for her to do.
Ember is currently living with two other bulldogs, who aren't sure they want to play with her, and she is awesome about respecting their space. We think she would do great living in a multi-dog household, even if not every dog is eager for her attention. Since she is 8yo, her forever family should keep her on a joint supplement and be prepared to care for her senior needs since she loves to play so much.
