Elliott would make the best roadtrip dog. This guy's happy place is in your backseat, watching the world go by or out and about checking out the trails, swimming holes, and sights (but upside down snoring on your couch is a close second!!). Elliott's savior reached out to us for desperate help after he had been wandering stray in her neighborhood for a few weeks, sadly walking up to front porches, hoping to make a friend. His gentle nature and friendly wiggles are so endearing, we're not sure how someone could leave him all on his own. Elliott has lived with both male and female dogs, and needs some time to warm up before feeling confident in their company. We think something traumatic must have happened to him while living out on the street, so it's totally understandable he needs some patience in order to feel safe. Once he understands. his doggie roomates are friendly, he is happy to have a playmate. Elliott has amazing leash manners and would do well in just about any type of home - apartment, or single family, with or without stairs. He would make a fantasic jogging or walking buddy, too.
Elliott is heartworm positive, and will be receiving treatment for that. He is available to be adopted before or while going through treatment in the Austin, Houston, or San Antonio areas so he can be seen by one of our vets.
