Ed

Hi! My Name Is Ed

We're happy to tell you that Ed has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Old man Ed is a very special guy who, despite all odds, is lovely and sweet to his human friends.  We don't know a ton about Ed's history, other than he was adopted to a family about 10 years ago who did not want him back when he found himself in a big city shelter in poor condition.  Ed has a broken jaw, with injuries consistent to being hit by a car, that had been left untreated and become infected over time.  He is losing vision in his good eye and can't hear very well, but he manages to navigate his world with minimal issues and adapted quickly to finding his way around his foster home.  What really made Ed happy is realizing he was living with other dogs.  His long body wiggled with joy when he met his fur brothers and sisters, and he is maybe thinking about playing with them, now that he feels better.  We adore this boy, and it's impossible not to smile when you see him melted into a dog bed or scampering toward you to say hello.

Ed will need to see a specialist to determine if we will be able to repair his broken jaw, once he is healthy enough.  In the mean time, Ed is able to be adopted by someone who wants to spoil him with stinky, soft food, plenty of napping spots, and lots of love in his golden years.  We would not recommend kids, at this time, for Ed's home.  Due to his limited hearing and eyesight, he can sometimes be easily startled.  And we'd prefer he live in a single family home without many stairs to traverse, to minimize stress on his old man joints.
