Eberly

Eberly has spent the majority of her days living outdoors before coming to ABR, but she certainly wasted no time adapting to the good life in her foster home!  She was thrilled to find there were so many cushy, soft beds and toys around for her to play with.  Usually, it takes dogs a little bit of time to come out of their shell, but Miss Eberly was a silly little ball of personality within the first week of arriving.  Eberly LOVES toys, especially squeaky ones.  She's also very curious about what the humans are doing around the house, and is always following foster mom around to see what's going on.  So, if you're looking for a snuggly velcro dog, Eb is your gal!  Eberly is currently living with other bulldogs, and has lived with dogs for her whole life.  She can be a little guarded at first, when making new dog friends, so we recommend a slow introduction to the dogs in her forever family so she can feel comfortable with them.  Eberly has lived indoors with cats before, but generally ignored the ones who roamed the property she used to live outdoors at.  She is also not currently living with kids, but we think older kids would be best, given her penchant for finger nibbling when she gets fired up and some lingering anxiety with loud noises. 

Eberly came to ABR having lost a lot of fur due to not being kept on prevention and not having her allergies properly cared for.  Her forever family should be sure they are giving her occasional medicated baths, wiping her folds, and keeping her on good flea prevention to ensure she never suffers with skin issues again.  Luckily, she is just fine with being pampered and a little extra TLC.
