Crosby's life before coming to ABR was not great, and you can tell he fully appreciates every single second of how he's treated now. This boy LOVES to be loved. He wants to be close to his humans, get all the hugs, and is more than happy to be bathed and have his folds wiped. And that's actually how this boy is right away with everyone he meets! He’s really just a simple guy who doesn’t need much to make him happy, which is our favorite thing about him. He’d be the best dog to do life with — road trips, chill nights on the couch, walks around the block for some fresh air, evenings with a few close friends on the patio…
Crosby’s owner abandoned him and moved away, leaving him alone in a house to fend for himself. When he finally did get out, he wandered the streets frantically looking for his humans and was attacked by a much larger dog. Crosby had to have a few reconstructive surgeries on parts of his ears and legs, and has since recovered beautifully. But his emotional trauma, when it comes to other dogs, still lingers. His foster has been working diligently to ensure he can enjoy walks outside, even when there are other pups around, and he loves his humans so much, that he’s picking up quickly. But we would love for Crosby to go to a forever home with a family who wants, above anything, to make him feel safe and loved and not force interactions with other dogs, if he isn’t ready.
