Churro is one of those special sort of dogs who just slips right into a family and is one of the gang right away. He loves being around other dogs and people. And at first he was more into napping with his fur foster siblings and following their lead, in terms of where to find the best snacks. But now that he's feeling healthier, foster mom says he's all about wrestling and can run circles around the other dogs! Churro also loves getting toasty out in the sun. He could bake all day outside, so sometimes his fosters have to lure him in with a snack. He is also super smart, knows basic commands, and is potty trained. Churro is awesome and tolerant for all sorts of grooming, bathing and eye drops (especially if they end in tummy rubs or butt scratches). He arrived at ABR with his skin and wrinkles in pretty bad shape and has thoroughly enjoyed all the extra attention and spa days to get him fuzzy and shiny again. Churro's foster family says he really enjoys going out on walks and meeting new people, too. So we think he'd be great for a family that gets out and about a lot or has folks over to their home, or both!
Churro would be best in a home without cats. He seemed to ignore the outdoor cats in a previous home, but is a liiiiiittle too interested in indoor cats. And he's not currently living with kids, but has been lovely with young visitors. Churro is still learning what is Churro's to play with and what is a human thing, so we think kids 8+ who understand not to leave their toys or little things around for him to get ahold of would be best.
