Diego is one of those special sort of dogs who has an instant connection with his humans. He waddled right into his foster home on day 1 and was ready to snuggle on the couch and make himself at home. He is so affectionate and snuggly, but also independent and capable of hanging out and doing his own thing. Diego is also great with kids, and minds his manners, even when playing. We think he'd thoroughly outgrown any puppy bad habits by the time he got to ABR. This is definitely, in part, thanks to his savior who found him as a stray and nursed him back to health before he came to us. Diego has lived with dogs before in their home, and didn't see eye to eye with one of them, so we think this guy can be picky about his fur roommates. He is not currently living with a dog in his ABR foster home. Diego is also the bestest boy when walking on a leash. He is calm and totally non-reactive to other dogs whenn seeing them. Diego could definitely be happy in a number of different home settings -- apartments or homes with their own yard, based on his calm nature.
