Buffy

Buffy is the kind of dog you can only hope and dream of finding in the shelter.  ABR pulled her from a high risk facility in a big city without knowing much about her, except she was in danger due to the condition she was found in.  We were overjoyed to find out she was SUCH a gem -- eager to please, loving, gentle, and polite to humans and animals alike.  We can't imagine how or why someone would ever let this princess go!  Buffy is particularly drawn to children, and her favorite thing is resting her jowls in their hands and waiting for a kiss on the head.  She's also great with other dogs, although she doesn't quite understand "play with me" body language.  Buffy is by no means put off, just hasn't connected the dots yet.  She's also curious, but polite with cats.  She's going to stick her sniffer in their business to see what's going on, but that's about it.  Buffy has picked up very quickly on learning a routine and living indoors, especially given that she's so food motivated!  If she thinks she needs to be eating, she'll drag her food bowl to you and let you know with the funniest little tippy tappy shuffle dance that she's hungry. Buffy would do great in a family who wants a social dog who isn't afraid of meeting new people and going to new places.
