Buckley

Buckley is a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, he blossoms into the most affectionate, smart boy! And although we don't know much about his past before he ended up in a small shelter, we were thrilled to learn that he is completely housetrained and a very polite room mate. Buck is very much a people pleaser and loves to learn new tricks. He is a perfect gentleman when greeting new human friends and taking treats, so we think he'd be great with kids. After all, the bigger the family, the more pets for Buckley, which is perfect for him. What we also love about Buckley is that he is an Olde English Bulldog who is able to run and play more than squattier bulldogs -- perfect for soccer in the backyard or lounging in the sunshine on a lazy Sunday! Buckley will need to be your one and only fur baby in the home, and should have his very own, securely fenced yard to play in. We think living in an apartment setting, where he would have to encounter other dogs more often than not would only stress him out. This also means that his new family should be understanding that bringing other friends' or family dogs into their home will scare Buckley. Special guys like Buckley are what rescue is all about -- accepting a dog for exactly who he is, understanding that he has some past trauma, and giving him the most comfortable, fun future where he feels save and loved forever.
