Brookie 🚗

Whatcha doin?? What’s that?? What’d you get??  Who ya talkin’ to???  Be prepared to answer all of these questions and more on the daily for curious Brookie.  This girl is whip smart and loves to be challenged with new games and things to learn.  She’s got a HUGE personality and you’ll have no shortage of laughs and “did she really just do that??” when Brookie is around. She’s happy to have bigger dog friends around and right next to you is where she loves being best. We would love to see Brookie go to a home that’s going to keep her active and busy. She’d love the opportunity to go for daily walks or do a few zoomies in the backyard. And she’d be the perfect dog to go to a training or agility class with!  

Brookie is healthy as a horse (and snorts like one too).  She needs typical bulldog care for her wrinkles and joints but is significantly less maintenance than her English Bulldog cousins.  And while she loves to make fur friends when out and about, she’d rather be your one and only at home.  No really…she LOVES going to ABR events, but we never get pictures of her because she’s always on her back showing everyone her chocolate chip belly. 

Brookie is available for adoption to qualified adopters in the contiguous 48 states.  ABR would prefer approved applicants to come to TX to meet their match, with their family and dog(s), but we recognized this isn’t always possible.  In such cases, approved adopters should be willing to participate in video interviews with the entire family to meet their match virtually. Adopters must also provide a transportation plan for their new family member that will require approval from the ABR Board.   This needs to be paid for by the adopter, in addition to the dog’s adoption fee.  Adopters need to also be prepared arrange safe transport back to the Austin area, should adoption not work out.  Please be prepared to provide vet and personal references in your application for us to contact when considering your family.
