Friends, it has been a JOURNEY to figure out why this boi was so sick, but we finally got to the bottom of things. Sweet Bogie-Bear had Steroid-responsive meningitis arteritis (SMRA), an immune-mediated, inflammatory, non-infectious disorder found in juvenile dogs. Because we got to the root of his illness, we have been able to treat him accordingly, and he's feeling like himself again—all the sweet, silly, lovable goodness that is Bogie!
He loves everyone he meets (once he has the time to know they are friends and not foes). He loves being the center of attention and being fawned over by his adoring human minions.
He's definitely a character who will keep his lucky humans entertained for days.
Bogie is a perfect house hippo who is easygoing and happy to chill solo if his humans have the misfortune of leaving his company for a few hours daily. He will fit nicely into almost any calm, relaxed, low-key, low-traffic family. He will need a home without stairs and a family ready to manage daily bulldog maintenance and care.
