Betsy never has a bad day. Even when she was stuck in a small shelter, living in an outdoor kennel, her funny hotdog shaped tail was always wagging. Betsy wakes up every day and greets her humans like she hasn’t seen you in ages and you’re her very best friend. Neighbors will have to stop and pet her on walks because she’s just got that sort of joyful aura that makes everyone around her happy too.
Betsy is actually much smaller than a typical American Bulldog (and even most English bulldogs!). She’s only 45lbs but has plenty of meaty squish to love on. And she is definitely a lapdog. Betsy is not currently living with another dog in her foster home but has met a few volunteers’ dogs. She’s interested in play, and would like to play rough and tumble, but had actually been more focused on getting love from humans during her meetups. Betsy isn’t currently living with kids, but she’s so gentle and well-mannered, we think kids 6+ would be great.
