Bessie turns heads and gets showered with compliments everywhere she goes. She's even more beautiful than her pictures show! And yes, you can absolutely smush on her pillowy jowls, since she's very happy to have attention from the humans she loves. Bessie came to ABR after her private adoption to one of our followers didn't work out, since she wasn't a fan of sharing her home with other cats and dogs. And that's ok, it's easy to understand why Bess would want to be the center of attention, given how many times she's grown attached to humans, only to be rehomed. The good news is, Bessie is currently living in an apartment foster home where she sees dogs, cats, and squirrels every day on her walks, and she doesn't mind that one bit--no barking, pulling, or blustery stuff. Bessie can be a bit shy when she first meets new people, and took a minute to warm up to foster dad. She also wasn't super sure about her new surroundings at first. We'd like to see her go to an adults-only home or a home with older kids who understand to take things slow and respect the time Bessie needs to adjust to a new life. Because once she does feel confident and safe, this special girl is all love and snuggles.
