Badger

Badger is the sort of dog you dream about finding in a shelter.  He's so friendly and sweet and gets along with just about everyone he meets!  We honestly didn't know much about him, when we decided to save him.  But he's turned out to be a delicious chocolately dream who gets along beautifully with both the cat and female dog in his foster home!  Badger spends about 90% of his day snoozin' and snorin'.  But when he does decide to play, it's hilarious.  He loves to grab a toy when his doggy foster sister also has a toy and dance around side by side with him and their toys.  Badger is also pretty darn good at fetch.  And by that, we mean he actually brings it back!  He's also got the perfect amount of clinginess without being super overwhelming or codependent.  He likes to be where humans are and curiously observe you.  And he'll lay next to you on the couch and ask for pets with a big fat paw slap, if you stop, but not try to crawl up your nose to get closer.

Badger is trying to be better about not jumping on his new human friends when he meets them.  So we think older kids are definitely best for him, while he's working on this.  He's also awesome on car rides and does great for all sorts of bathing and grooming too. Badger has also tried sharing a home with a larger male dog, and that didn't work out.  So we think females are a better match for him.
