Miss Starling is a sad little mama right now.
We'll save you from hearing her tragic story if you haven't already heard it.
Let's just say that, once again, the population of frencheies and the abundance of horrible backyard breeders has again ended in tragedy.
Despite her tragic story, Starling is the nicest, sweetest, loveliest girl, and we are so in love and so, SO, happy she is here.
Mama Starling is still settling into her new life, so we'll get to know her better as she blossoms in the safety of her loving foster home.
And, already, she is trusting and patient and so gentle.
Completely fine with the calm resident foster doggos and, also, utterly indifferent to her new kitty siblings.
She loved the kiddos she's met and seems to be the complete and perfect package.
Mama isn;t ready to move yet but, if you think a Frenchie is for you 🥰:
Although SUPER cute and so yummy & silly, most of our dogs have come from yucky backyard greeders and so, will 100% need to have owners committed to their unique long-term care, health, and wellbeing.
Here are just a couple of things that we need to ensure every French Bulldog adopter understands and is comfortable with.
✅ All Frenchies MUST HAVE A FULL-SERVICE vet and at MINIMUM an ANNUAL vet appointment. Big-box store vets or mobile/discount shot services are just not going to cut it.
✅ Here's the BIG ONE: thanks to their breeding, ALL Frenchie parents have to be ready to manage and IMMEDIATELY treat an episode of IVDD: IVDD 411
✅ All Frenchie parents must be willing to make the time for daily maintenance and grooming: our Frenchies love their spa time and need (at minimum) all of those folds and crevices cleaned that make them so dang cute. It's a sign of your commitment and care.
✅ Bulldog adopters have to be willing to administer eye drops; all those folds make for grumpy eyelids.
✅ ✅ Last but not least, all lucky bulldog parents should expect to manage the ongoing cost of all the goodies associated with loving a bulldog: including but not limited to: high-quality food, eye drops, medicated shampoo, monthly heartworm prevention, fun toys, vet care, and endless scritches and cuddles (This last one is free)
PHEW - that's a list, but these guys are so worth it.
Your commitment will be rewarded with the love and joy these Frenchies bring into your life.
