We adopted Cooper when we lived in Maryland, he was a wonderful addition to our family. In the time that we’ve had him we had two children and he was obsessed with them. In September of 2024 work caused us to relocate. With moving across country and had to leave cooper with a family member until we were able to bring him here. As of 8.2.25 cooper came back to us but he is different now. He had some issues with my family members dog and they had rough interactions. With the first 24 hours he seemed like his normal self. By hour 48, out of no where my son who is two which cooper use to adore went to pet cooper and turned a nipped him in the face. Since he seems to keep a very close on my son. No one else in the home is having problems, he’s like his regular self with all of us except my two year old. Cooper does not do well with other male dogs. Now I have terrified when I’m not around, as I work a minimum of 10 hours a day that something could happen. He truly is a great dog but I can’t take the chance if he was to really bite my two year old. With his size compare to my child’s the damage could be life threatening. We do not have vet here for him but he is up to date on all his shots and he is fixed. You truly are my last option.
