A gentle, soulful boi like Snickerdoodle should never end up in a shelter.
He is far too soft and delicate for such a noisy, uncouth place.
SnickerD is a dream house guest. He's already got this potty routine down, takes all the cues from his foster siblings, and greets every human with whole-body and nubbin wiggles.
He seems to be figuring out the whole 'being a dog' thing, so chill, friendly, confident dogs in his foster home will be best.
Snicks isn't specifically cat tested, but he's shown no signs of prey-drive, so with slow introductions, he might be a dog who can live with cats.
Even though this guy is basically perfect, when our vet team gave us the rundown of the (EXPENSIVE) medical care he needed, we were not at all surprised that the breeders (who had been no doubt monetizing him) had decided to dump him.
Snickerdoodle will have ALL the surgeries he needs and will soon be better than brand new.
Like so many of our stray pups, he is heartworm-positive.
So, while he is almost ready to start his epic new life with his best possible family, he will need to stay close to our vets for his upcoming treatments.
