He is housebroken and does well on walks. He may need to be walked by someone who could handle him if he were to chase after a squirrel or take off because he sees people and wants to say hello. My husband usually walks him because of this: he is known to get excited and try to bulldoze over people or us if we aren't alert. He loves playing outside, sunbathing, long naps & overall is a big loving teddy bear. He has a very gentle disposition and is pretty clingy but in a good way. This may just be because we both work from home so he's used to always having someone around. When we leave the home, we do crate him. We learned that we needed to do this during his first weeks with us as we would let him roam when we're out but he would chew on just about anything, couch pillows, his dog bed, boxes, anything. Our vet mentioned it may have been due to teething at the time, but that this is also a bulldog trait when bored. He does not sleep in the crate though at night. He sleeps well and through the night on his doggie bed with no issues. So crate use is only for when we leave for errands, etc.
