Extremely loving most of the time. He especially loves strangers. He gets very excited over new people and jumps up because he loves them. He is extremely loving towards me and other family members when he is alone with them. He changes into a different dog when I (the primary dog owner) is in the home. He growls and snaps at the other person that he perceives as a threat. He also snaps at my family members ankles when they try to leave the house. He has anxiety/issues with noises. He attacks the vaccuum and mop, he barks and snaps at the trashcan when it is being changed, he barks and jumps up at the blender when used, and the same for aluminum foil and other noises. He can't seem to relax when I am up doing things around the house. He follows me everywhere, which is not a problem, yet it shows he can never settle himself. Our home has become very stressful. My husband and adult son don't want to be at home because of the dog growling and snapping at them. We can't even have conversations or cook together in the kitchen without the dog in-between us growling. Brix is obedient and loves to do tricks with vegetable/fruit treats (he's allergic to other treats). His favorite treats are raw carrots, cauliflower, celery, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, and apples. He comes running if he sees me eating a banana or apple, so we share. He is fully potty trained. He doesn't chew up things. He does drool if he gets overheated, but not otherwise. He loves playing in the backyard with a ball or a toy that's thrown. He can only play a short while until he gets too out of breath due to the elongated soft palate. He has had surgery for cherry eye at approximately 8 months. I was told that he has no tear ducts, so he has porphyrin staining on his face. He eats twice a day (1 cup each feeding).
