Elmer loves everybody. He is one of the most easygoing guys we've had the pleasure of meeting and gets along with every creature he meets! In fact, his favorite friend at his medical foster's home was one of the horses. Elmer spends probably 90% of his day napping, 5% with his chubby chin on your knee asking for pets, and maaaaybe the other 5% eating or thinking about playing with his dog friends. And we really think the better he feels, the more lively he'll be. Elmer is just happy to be included! He's very calm when it comes to grooming and bathing, settles easily into a new place, and is curious but polite when meeting new human and animal friends.
Elmer came from a situation where he had not received vet care or even basic grooming in years. He is actually pretty healthy for his age, but we can tell he really felt crummy having goopy eyes, sore joints, and a crusty nose. Elmer's forever family should be prepared to care for his senior and basic bulldog needs, ensuring he can live a happy and pain free life.
