Stallone

Hi! My Name Is Stallone

We're happy to tell you that Stallone has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Stallone never has a bad day.  He loves everyone and everything around him and truly does everything with joy and curiosity.  He originally came to ABR as a serious medical case, but has made a full turnaround and is now a bubbly, smiley guy.  In fact, we don't think Stallone really ever got to be a playful puppy, given how sick he was most of his young life.  He's making up for lost time, and that includes needing some additional guidance to help him learn manners and boundaries.  Stallone has lived with a calm, male dog in the past and really enjoyed cuddling up with him (especially in spaces that seem physically impossible to fit two dogs into).  But he seems to like to keep his circle of friends small, and doesn't enjoy dog visitors to his home.

Stallone gets super excited when new humans come to his home because that just means more attention and love for him.  He's currently working on calm greetings both when friends come over and his favorite humans return home.  And actually, he gets pretty scared of people yelling and waiving their hands in the air, in general (we think this is due to the environment he was surrendered from), so we'd recommend a calm household with no kids visiting for him.  Stallone's happy place are in his crate with his favorite blankie, riding in the car, or your lap.  So, we hope his forever family will allow him to hang out on the couch with them and maaaaybe even snuggle in bed.  He's velvety soft and basically football sized, so he's the perfect cuddle buddy.
