Marnie

Hi! My Name Is Marnie

We're happy to tell you that Marnie has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Marnie is such a special girl.  She is a true survivor, and the kindest girl despite having suffered at the hands of humans for as long as she did.  Marnie was an emergency intake at ABR after an owner turned her into a big city shelter -- starving, anemic, severely dehydrated, and covered in fleas and ticks.  She has undergone intense treatment and hospitalization, and luckily, should not have any long term health issues even after enduring so much neglect!

Marnie bounced back right away into a playful, happy girl who seems to love all dogs.  Even when one of her fur foster brothers nipped at her to say 'no thank you' she just rolled onto her back and wagged her tail.  She doesn't seem to have a mean bone her body!  Marnie would also be awesome with a family that has kids, given that she likes to curiously follow foster mom around the house to see what's going on.  She's also so very gentle and sweet to all humans.  Marnie has not been tested with cats, but we would definitely consider a family that has one, to adopt Marnie, if they have a plan to slowly introduce them and give kitty space at first.
