Knight

Hi! My Name Is Knight

We're happy to tell you that Knight has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Knight is a very special boy who has had a long road to recovery.  He was found abandoned in the middle of an orchard down in the Rio Grande Valley, emaciated and weak, and required multiple blood transfusions to bring him back to life.  But throughout all of his vet care, Knight has been the most perfect boy.  His vets down in the valley were so surprised that Knight would wag his tail and give kisses when they'd take bloodwork or administer his transfusions.  He was in so much pain, but so very happy to be surrounded by kind people, which speaks volumes about his personality.

And Knight has remained the very same easygoing, easy to please guy as he's healed.  He's now strong and has plenty of bully squish on him!  He loves to spend his day napping, gently nibbling on a toy, or monitoring foster dad's sandwich making.  His foster especially loves the big-eyed, stunned look Knight gives every time he doesn't get his own sandwich for himself.  Knight's foster often has friends and family over, and Knight LOVES this.  He would be amazing in a forever family who enjoys being social, but is also content to hang around the house.  If you're happy, he's happy.  Knight was in a temporary foster home with a big pack of dogs, and seems to enjoy dogs smaller than him the most, but likes to play outdoors with any size dogs.  (And by "play" we mean a gentle gallop around the yard a few times followed by a lonnnnnnng nap).

Knight is a senior, so his forever family should be prepared to keep him on a good joint supplement and care for his senior needs to ensure he lives a happy, comfortable life.
