Patsy

Hi! My Name Is Patsy

We're happy to tell you that Patsy has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Patsy is the kind of gal who gets along with everyone.  She is happy to go with the flow and is pleased napping the day away in a soft bed near her humans.  Patsy came to ABR after she was found taking shelter in a neighborhood outdoor doghouse during some cold weather.  Nearly all of her bulldog needs had been neglected, especially her poor, inflamed skin.  Now that she has healed, she loves getting scratches all over, especially her chest and tummy.  Patsy is currently living with a few different dogs of all shapes and sizes, and while she is happy to be part of the back, she isn't too interested in playing.  But if any of them want to snuggle in for a nap, sign Patsy up!  Patsy is also great with kids, too.  She's especially loving living with little ones who drop tasty snacks, and doesn't mind being the clean up crew.  She's fully housetrained, and the only times you'll hear her make any noise are when she's snoring or if there is something particularly tasty she wants juuuust out of reach.

Patsy is heartworm positive, and Austin Bulldog Rescue will be sponsoring her treatment.  However, she can go home with her forever family to heal and recover during this process, as long as they are willing to bring her to a few vet appointments in the Austin, San Antonio, or Houston.  She'll need to be kept calm during this process, but that's definitely something you'll need to worry about with Patsy.  Since Patsy came to us in a particularly neglected state, she will always need a little extra TLC to keep her skin clear, her ears clean, and her eyes bright (all of which are a part of basic bulldog care, typically).
